Doblo rust

I have a 2007 doblo cargo 1.3 multijet. I've had it since 2010. It does everything I need for my business. It only has 64k miles and is in good condition. It has the odd dot of rust on the roof which I'm currently treating with the paint pen repair kits you get.

The time has come to make the decision to upgrade to a 2010 doblo cargo or to keep this doblo for the next five years. It's complicated but that's the choice.

All I'm worried about is whether my 2007 doblo's body will remain intact and rust free for another five years ?
I'm gonna t-cut it and treat any chips in the paintwork. I trust the engine as I bought it with 40k miles fsh and know it'll only have done about 90/100k in five years.

Alternatively I can try and pick up a 2010 with a 5k budget.
I'm not vat registered so I'm looking for one with no vat. They appear to be very rare although I did by my doblo with no vat back in 2010.

What do you guys think ?
The engine will last but will the body ?
The interior always seems to have condensation in it in the mornings.
Tips on finding a van with no vat ?

Thanks
Dave

Re: Doblo rust

Its a galvanised body. the interior shouldn't have condensation in it though so that's worth investigating / drying up hey it summer soon.

Re: Doblo rust

Hi Dave, the cam-chain is the bigger concern over time / miles.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I think the cam chain needs doing at 72000 miles. How much does this cost to get renewed ?
