Technical Rear door wont open

Fellow Doblers. The central locking on the rear doors of my van wont release. It clunks and clicks when I press the key but I can,t get it open from outside.

All other doors work fine and I can open the rear if I climb in and open from inside. Removed panel inside door and saw solenoid moving in and out and nothing seems to be seized. Can anyone "open the door to success" for me. Thanks

There is a small metal lever with a spring that moves in or out to allow the handle to actuate the opening of the door by releasing the locking mechanism.

It can get jammed by old grease.

It moves one way and the handle misses it. When it moves the other way, the handle makes connection with the levers to open.

I took mine apart, sprayed it with carb cleaner (brake cleaner works as well) and let it dry a while. Then I painted it with Copper grease and sprayed WD40 all over the grease, before working it back and forth.

When I put it back together it was perfect....that was December.
