Talking Doblo Mk I 02 and 05 Doblo audio here.
Believe I'm right in belieiving the ELX was the top of the range at the time. Therefore, please can anybody advise if the standard car speakers in an 02 ELX are of a better quality than the paper speakers that were fitting in a more basic 05 Family.
I use the 05 Family as my daily runner and doing a 60 mile daily commuite in it, think it's about time I thought about getting some better quality speakers.
I've also got a non runner 02 ELX which I originally purchased to use as spare parts for the Family, hence the question regarding the quality of the speakers.
If the ELX speakers are the same basic quality as used in the Family, can anybody giving some pointers as to what car make to look out for at a car scrappers to source a better quality set of speakers to fit the 05 Doblo.

I can't say I have any experience with the FIAT range, but in my opinion, unless they state there is a serious sound system in there, the standard stuff is always a bit pants.

I usually opt to go to Halfords or other such store and buy JBL's or JVC stuff.

This always involves re-wiring and cutting off plugs/sockets to be able to fit the new speakers and their associated extra parts (crossovers & tweeters).

However, the difference in sound is palpable. I once had a huge flat panel bass speaker and wish I hadn't sold it with the van. It was immense sounding

The standard speakers across the range are utter ****e.

You could wire in some small mid/high two way in the dash and some bigger ones in the doors but their placement is pretty awful so there is not much bass whatever the head unit.

I get around this by putting a set of large Bose Hifi speakers behind the front seats... Passengers can just sit around them.
