Hi all about 2 months ago I purchased the doblo from fleabay as a non runner with a broken drive shaft, I started to sweat when it drove on to the trailer(with a broken shaft) on the way home the 4 wheel trailer blew and set light to a tyre, good start! any way removed the shaft and guess what half the diff came out with it, so i hunted down a box from a scrapyard £120 and a new shaft £130 with the box out I replaced the clutch £50 this cheap car is not so cheap now . right time to refit the box .
It would not go back on many bad words later I sussed it when I supported the engine with a jack it had moved backwards ***** right all back together off for a MOT ,it failed on discs and pads more money ,now getting abuse from the wife about my cheap car.
Replaced the discs and pads, got the wrong parts of course first time did the other odds and sods for the MO Twent to open the tail gate the linkage had fallen apart **** that's an on going tale , now I have a flat battery so I try to jump start it from my berlingo and killed the berlingos alternator its only done 20100 miles and the doblo was to replace it,
Any way now have a new MOT went to tax it, how much! £300 now my insurance company want an extra £120 to insure it, now wife very unhappy, to top it all it has a slight tapping knocking noise on left hand bends any thoughts please before I torch it, smithy
