This is my first post and looking for some HELP... Driving home yesterday and engine just cut out and died. Didn't make any noises just stopped. Got recoved home and wouldn't restart. It turns over but doesn't' start.
recovery driver said it was fuel pump but don't know cos he didn't really check anythink. So with the van at home I undid the fuel pipe from pump to rail and turn over and fuel spurted out so don't think its the pump. Has anyone got any ideas Please.....

I certainly wouldn't be undoing an high pressure injector pipe on a modern diesel, the pipe is supposed to be replaced if this is dona also.....anyway, all I can suggest is carrying out a diagnostic on the car including measuring fuel pressure.
