Tuning Fiat Doblo Maxi 1.6 remap

Just had my fiat doblo maxi van remapped, much better has more power and torque and it feels much smoother, looking forward to the increase in mpg

should have had it done ages ago

What did your insurers say when you told them? An increase in bhp over the 'standard' figure is sure to interest them.

I put this thread up about the remapping, anything to do with insurance has nothing to do with you and im not going to discuss it on a public forum.

Mpg has already gone up, which im happy about,

I was considering a remap and was interested in the impact on insurance premiums. I mistakenly thought that this forum was a community of Doblo owners sharing information for mutual benefit.

I consider your reply to be unnecessarily harsh.

The new Suzuki SX-4 cross, or whatever they call it, has the Fiat 1.6, in 120bhp form (actually 118bhp I think).

It gives 1-60 in 12 seconds and astonishing mpg figures, which apparently are realistic, or practically so. £20 road tax and a good handling drive, with a realistic 60mpg... I think so!

I would hope that Fiat fits this uprated engine to the Doblo soon, as the current 105, although smooth and lovely to drive in the mid range, is a slow gutless thing from standstill with appalling turbo lag. I keep trying to love it, but it isn't easy.

Okay, the Doblo is an unaerodynamic brick, and I have no idea how its weight compares with the Suzuki, but I'm afraid I am going to take a look at one soon because my Doblo's fuel consumption is pretty crap and nothing like that advertised.
But there is so much in the Doblo to like
