Handling Packs for Doblo's

Does anyone know of a handling pack for the Doblo at all?

I am impressed with the performance of the vehicle in every other area except the handling, which would definitely benefit from better anti roll bars. I would even consider a complete suspension kit, but I have been unable to find any done by the usual after market manufacturers.

It has been suggested that I also change the wheel tyre combo from the 14" rims fitted to Stilo 16" rims, but the problem is more with the body control rather than grip.

As soon as this is done, it will be on with the Rapid Chip that I have for it (135bhp for the 1.9JTD).

Hi

Don't have a Doblo, but can you get lowering springs for it?!

Also, how about an Angel Tuning remap - software based, would imagine it would get a lot more than 135bhp out of it....

Re: Handling Packs for Doblo's

The Doblo's basic make-up/floor pan is unique, as is the Multiplas. I think that has been mentioned else where in the forum?
The rear suspension is a simple beam between the hubs and uses cart springs with rubber bump stops. Its simple and effective, especially when heavily laden.
If you buy a Doblo I think you may have gone the wrong route for a MAX Power feature spread :0)
Remember if it looks like a van - it'll probably handle like a van...

You could increase both power and handling by strapping MDF or ladders to the roof like most van drivers do, it seems quite effective

Re: Handling Packs for Doblo's

i don't think you can get a handling pack for it my dad has one, i've driven it and it feels "loose" i.e. likes to roll..

the front suspension is a standard macpherson strut and spring setup, while the rear is leaf spring and independent strut.

the only way might be to get the springs custom made.

Wider tyres might also help but bear in mind that if you do this, you need tyres with a higher load index or they'll wear quicker than a whore's knickers :P
