Morning all,
i wonder if anyone can help me,the glow plug light has started flashing about 13 times (il have to check exactly how many times if it makes a difference) when i first start the van up,then it dissapaears. It isnt affecting the van starting at all,or anything else, just wondering what its trying to tell me,,,any sudgestions most welcome. Its a 2008 doblo 1.3 diesel multijet.

Hi Geronimo,

It probably just means one of the glow plugs has failed. They just aid starting and smooth running in winter, you'll be fine on the 3 remaining now the weather is getting warmer, perhaps fix it when its next in the garage.

Exactly that. It happened to mine, unfortunately later there were other problems as well, unrelated but confusing the issue.

Mine ran for a year with one dead plug and no problems, and then the compression/ injectors/ ...? went wrong too. Fine when warm, but in the ice -no!

Hello AA, bye bye car...

Thanks for the replys boys,as you say,il leave it for the mo now the warm weather is here (well, sort of) and when i change the oil in the summer il have a crack at it.

My Doblo's heater plug light has been flashing since I bought the car two years ago and it's never struggled to start, even in the recent cold snap. I'll replace the duff one sometime but it's not like it's urgent :)
