Hello all,
The van wont start it,s very windy the last few days i went out yesterday evening to do a job and when i opened the door the wind blew it and i had a job getting it closed it was so windy anyway when i came back to the van after finishing the job it wouldn,t start there is power in the dash but it won,t start i don,t know what is wrong with it anyone with any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It would help to know what model, year and engine it is petrol/diesel, 1.3/1.9 etc?
Also how is it not starting does it turn over on the starter motor but not fire or does it not?

The van is an 08, 1.3 dablo it is turning on the starter but i seems like it,s not getting any fuel.
Sorry i forgot to mention it,s a multi jet it nearly started yesterday but just as it near got going it died out again and it won,t fire up at all now.

Also the bracket/hinge mechanism on the door is broken i,m wondering if this would cause some upset in the electrical system?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you been a bit hectic.
The door strap is not a factor at worst it could only stop the electric window working.
So obvious things, it has diesel in it?
open the engine bay check the air inlet is clear, likewise check the exhaust (since its been so windy)
wait for glow plug light to go off, turn it over.
no much else I can think of or suggest. good luck.
