the washer jets on my doblo are very weak and just about got enough pressure to get the water to hit the windscreen

is this just a simple fix by cleaning the jets out or changing the pump or is this a known problem with the pump not having enough pressure ?

any help would be great thanks

cheers guys will have a look at the week end and let you know what was wrong

The washer jets themselves probably want a careful clean out with a pin whilst someone presses the washer control in the car. They get gunged up with algae sometimes. It is worth noting that they adjust up and down on a swivel if you look carefully..........You will know when they are clear when your elbows get soaked instead of your fingers !!

I always use Halfords (it's handy) screenwash and I use the washers every day for one reason or another, all night long sometimes. I have never had a problem. Perhaps people don't use their washers regularly and they clog up: just a thought.

PS. I did mix my own screenwash years ago, and sometimes the jets clogged; a pin sorted that. I have been lucky with the pump though, but since I am having electronic gremlins with the glowplugs (which are new and fine)??? and their control unit (which is new and fine), or is it the thermostat????, I am getting fed up again. Old cars wear out, sadly.

On our 07 cargo they come out of the housing like a bullet with a blast of air, the 3 jets on one parallel tube with a screwdriver slot in end to adjust.
Have a good look first before blowing it took me an hour to find the little plastic jet tube thingy:cry: Do not use washing up liquid this is death to screen washers(n)
The washers all 6 jets, 3 in each assembly work great when clean
