Multi jet engine

i have a 07 plate 120 bhp multi jet doblo with 42k on the clock,it is well serviced and hasnt gave me any probs regard dpf etc but i have a problem sometimes that the engine almost splutters when running about in traffic and i have 2 change down gear as it feels that it might stall the engine.when i accelerate hard the thing goes well.has anyone else had this problem? i am wondering if a remap might help.there is no warning lights on the dash and the car has had all the filters changed recently so i wouldnt expect it to be caused by lack of servicing. thanks choc

A remap might make things worse if there is an underlying issue. Have you been on a long run lately? It might help to clear things out a little.

Re: Multi jet engine

have you ever had fuel filter changed made a big difference when it was changed on the multijet

Some fiat dealers do not like changing them

especially this one

who said they had and had not as we put tippex on it to check.

Re: Multi jet engine

As my first post says ,the car is well serviced and has recently had all the filters changed which included the fuel filter.i even took off the Egr and cleaned it but that didnt really help.think i will go for a decent run and give it a good blast and see if that helps,if that fails ill just set fire to the bloody thing!!! Ps only joking
