Dont remove dpf
As of april 2014 I think its an mot failure to have it removed.....

Getting it removed and deleted means you have tk have a new one fitted and reprogrammed....

Re: Diesel in oil sump 1.3 multijet.

I would check the pump isn't leaking diesel into the engine.

Re: Diesel in oil sump 1.3 multijet.

Hi guys. I drive a 2006 Fiat strada 1.7 el. my timing recently got mixed up (story for another day). the pistons did hit the valves but the engine wasn't running, it was just turned with the starter. now there are a weird sound but the motor is running very smooth and starts one shot, cold or warm conditions, if I turn the motor with the hand it still gives me 6 bar of compression, is that possible with a bent valve? or would it just be a cam follower that got messed. how can I see this without taking off the head?
please guys, any help will be appreciated.

The car did have a DPF fitted, but this was removed and coded out of the ECU.
Local garage (normally excellent) can't fix it as they think it is injectors leaking and are recommending a diesel specialist who are apparently very expensive.
My question is does anybody have any idea as to approximate costs involved in this kind of repair?
The car looks great but the engine is becoming a nightmare and we are now considering the merits of scrapping the vehicle as there is no way we could trade it in at the moment (scared to drive it in case the engine does a runaway).
Any advice/opinions would be really appreciated.
