Hi everybody,

Just wondering if anybody has the new doblo and i would like to know how you are finding them.
I am looking into getting one, Maybe the 1.3 or 1.6.
Be a van version anyway but all reports good and back would be good.
What Mpg you getting as well would be excellent to know.

Many Thanks

William.

Delighted with mine, no major problems at all. 1.6 diesel 6speed multijet, 7 seater getting about 45 to the gallon.

I had several rattles and creaks from the overhead parcel shelf but I have now fixed those myself. I changed the tyres for something less van like and am pleased I did that as it now drives more like a hatchback. Despite having cruise, stop start, traction control, stability control, climate control, hill holder, parking sensors and electric windows in the sliding doors, nothing has gone wrong yet and its just over a year old.

It does everything I ask of it, I want to move a 300 kg engine in a couple of weeks and I know it will cope with it easily. I love all that 3 and a bit cube metres of internal space.

Things I am not sure about, the seats feel a tad small, I wish they were 10% larger. The mirrors don't adjust high enough if you have the drivers seat height adjuster to the top, and de-misting of the screen is poor on cold mornings, but these are minor gripes really.

Yup... What he says :)

With the addition that the seat height setting thing is a bit forgetful.... You set it just right, next time you get in, it's back down and you have to crank it up again. Just a matter of getting used to giving it three pumps everytime I get in!

Oh... And yeah, the centre armrest is for midgets! I need it an inch higher! (n)

Oh... And yeah again, the MP3 player thingey ma bob, sometimes it will display track names, sometimes it just displays "Media Player"

Oh... And yeah once again, the MP3 player, if you are into PodCasts and regularly update your iPod with new downloads, then the pigging system either fails to find them when you re-plug your updated iPod in, or it sits there for fifteen minutes and annoyingly just says "BUILDING MEDIA LIBRARY, PLEASE WAIT".... Ohh... where's a bit of birch tree when you need it to beat the thing with? :bang:

But just like Emily and her saggy old cloth cat, I love it!

Jon.

Cheers for your replys, They sound ok so far. Mind the mp3 wont bother me as long as the radio works well for R2 and R4 thats good enough for me.

But then it wouldnt be a fiat with out some idiosyncrasies would it.:D:D:p

I have a facelift mark 1 and my heater is brilliant! Perhaps yours need's attention?

Hi there, had mine about 3 months now, its the 1.6 diesel excellent engine for its size plenty of power, about 40-45 MPG but hoping this improves with mileage.Very pleased with this vehicle as I had a Qubo before, not a patch on the Doblo. So would recommend.(y)

Dakar, Now you mention it, you are dead right about the drivers armrest. It is about an inch too low as you say it could also be a tad bigger as well. Personally I would rather have a cubby box in that position to store small stuff in.

Mine doesn't have the seat drop problem.

Can't comment on the mp3 as I don't have one of those.

Now that's promising... If it's somert that's broke, rather than a design flaw, then it should be possible to fix it! I'll get me spanners out! ;)

Since the new Doblo came out I have only ever seen 2 on the road!

Are they not selling very well?
Maybe expensive?

I certainly see LOTS of the vans, and even quite a few of the Vauxhall badged vans this last week or so too! But very few of the MPV's - are the sales figures available anywhere? Be curious to take a peek.
