Hello All.

Hasanyone fitted a HID kit to there doblo

Iam after fitting a 6000k 35w kit

Researching on net and people saying legal amd illegal

Also go to find out what type of lenses the doblo has so the kits dont dazzle/blind other drivers

As I understand it they are illegal unless fitted with self levelling and headlight washers. Seem's like it'd be a lot of work.

thanks for advice,
My doblo hasthe levelling system i think

In the cab on van i have the buttons to adjust the headlights
Also the lenses has grove or lines on them
Arte these to deflect the beam of light to an angle

Ive ordered the hid kit now so see what its like when it arrive

Anyone else got advice

Thanks

I think the levelling system needs to be automatic to fully comply. Which year is your Doblo? The headlight lenses changed after 2005.

I was sat behind a car yesterday & I thought he was constantly flashing the police car in front of him. Then it dawned on me that the flashing corresponded with bumps and potholes.
I don't know what the coppers thought but it must have been annoying to have those dipped beams bouncing around like a pair of 42DDs in a jogger's sweatshirt :D

That's exactly why self levelling is required with HIDs. I like the 42DDs analogy!

Don't know about HID how do you adjust main beam without dip beam on an 07cargo, main is lower than dip:cry: can only find one set of adjusters.

No both seated ok first thing checked, the main is lower than the dipped, the good thing is it is brighter:D now back to the problem how do you adjust main & not dipped ?

My advice is they are illegal but not enforced

they carry many may many problems with the uk road law but ultimatly they are illegal. only Philips and osram have the official markings to use on road.

especially at 6000k

ive got the 55w versions in my fogs and high beam but not for my dipped.

(one good reason is the doblo headlights don't allow the fitment of the 55w bulb any way! the halogen deflector is just simply too short! ) **Below

this is some unfamiliar territory as yet as these are only just coming on to the market in a big way really.

the colour temperature is totally wrong and the glare your receive from signs and cars etc etc just don't add up, you need to be around 4500k or there about (i don't know exact number)

although it appears better is actually isn't. :slayer:
