Hi

new in here , I've a doblo 1.3 family multijet, silver, bought brand new from Jam Jar for £8500(on the road with 12months tax) in feb 05 , beat that one !!

Well i've bought and fitted the great " 3 silver alu roof rails" , cost £164.00 but worth it. Plus £34.00 for the mud flaps !!

Now i'm after some alloys The fiat doblo standard ones are boring, anyone put 15, even 16 inch ones on thier doblo ?

Has anyone put on alloys off other fiats.

I've done some research , but actual installation experince may prevent the wrong purchase !!!
:D

have now some new alloys , still in the boxes off ebay £160.00 , a slight difference than the dealers price of £375.00 !!!!!

Hello buddy I also have just purchased a 1.9d sx Doblo and want to fit some alloys to replace the original SHIRT BUTTONS any luck with youre wheels and could you send me a picture of what they look like on the DOB thanks :)

Well only bought the standard 14 inch FIAT alloys brand new off ebay paid 140 for them . The alloys for a punto will exactly fit the doblo , so what fits to a punto should be OK , there are loads of different styles . If any problems I seen lots of companies who supply spacers....

I'll take a pic of my cargo with 15's on 195/55/15. She looks sweet. No spacers needed with the style that ive got.

Hello every one here is some good news for anyone intrested? I have managed to fit 16" stilo alloys with 205`s on to my doblo but needed to purchase spacers I can email pictures to any one intrested please email [email protected] talk soon see yah..

hi ash2002 i also have a doblo 1.3 family multijet but in light silver blue , just where did you manage to find roof rail i can not find them any where .

sounds like the dealers if still available

You can fit 17" on a Doblo with spacers, see the last post on This Thread.

HOWEVER! Be warned, I have been put off putting bigger alloys on my Doblo because a few people I have spoken to have had suspension problems after fitting and using alloy wheels, plus you really wont get much wear out of your tyres, they'll need replacing at least three times a year depending on mileage. 15" probably isn't too bad, but 17" and maybe even 16" could cause you problems. Although don't be put off just by what I said, do your own research if you so wish. If you like them though, go for them, I think the doblo looks sweet with them, and as I said check out the post above, theres a pic too! :)

The steel wheels on my 2002 Doblo are very rusty and I am tempted to get some alloy ones but I suppose it makes it a modified vehicle and the insurance goes through the roof. I did enquire about getting my wheels shot blasted and powder coated but that is £40 per wheel plus the cost of getting the tyres removed, refitted and balanced. Mine only has centre hub caps rather than full wheel trims so perhaps wheel trims from the Punto would fit and not be an obvious deviation from original trim.

Hello , I don't think that if you replaced your rusty wheels with standard FIAT alloys 14 inch, transfer the tyres if OK then there would be NO difference to the insurance, the standard alloys 14 inch off a punto mk2/3 fit direct (same pcd offset etc) on to the dobo . They are cheap and easily available on ebay , here etc... heck mine only cost £160.00 plus £35.00 to transfer the tyres, I took the NEW steel ones to the Tip.. heck you could have had them for nothing !!

The cost of a good set of s/h alloys compared with steel refurb , theres no contest ?

Have a look around I'm sure you'll find some ... Having alloys would be a cheap option , it would also make your car/van worth a bit more !!

Morning

Ok well its a sad listing but i've ordered some 17 inch alloys + wheel combo... , according to the dealer they will fit ? :) (205/40 17s) dealer says YES>.......

my buttons will be on sale on ebay if all well......

Will they fit ??? (yes i will provide pictures... )

Yeah, that combination should fit, but you may need wheel spacers, if you do don't go too big as you'll put extra pressures on the suspension and could cause yourself problems. I'd be quite intrested in putting some alloys on in the furute so post us all some pics and tell us how you get on! :)

Ok

They are now fiitted didn't need spacers.. .. photos "attached" , you also might notice the wind deflectors which i purchased via the web from germany.... just an A bar to be fitted before summer.. then its finished...

tech data : wheel 17 inch, 205/40 17 tyres offset ET35 PCD 98.

As an after thought the tyres could have been 205/50-55's but I'll do that at the next tyre change.

The cost inc locking wheel nuts / chrome valves / delivery = £389.00 Beat that one..

Really nice mate, well impressed! Let us know how you get on with tyre wear and such, but I must say seeing those has made me change my mind about alloys for the doblo, though I'd probably go a size smaller to try and give me some more rubber to play with.

Hope they work well for you and thanks for the pics :)

 Ah, should have twigged from the seller ID. I was going through all the Doblo stuff, towbars, locking fuel caps, parcel shelves etc as I can feel a shopping trip to England coming on. There's a motorbike gearbox I need to collect in Yorkshire when I get chance.....

Hey there! Hope the wheels are going well for you, I was just wondering, have you told your insurance company? If so what did they say and did they charge you any extra? I'm gathering your quite young so it would be intresting to know :) Cheers
