Doblo problems

I have a 2007 Doblo 1.9 turbo diesel,with 100,000 miles on the clock. I have noticed recently that the turbo appears to be not working,although the vehicle seems to lack any loss of power accept when accelerating up hill coming out of Dover. I have read that the turbo should kick in around 2500-3000 rpm. Can anyone direct me to where the turbo is located,and is any harm being done to the running of the vehicle if the turbo has gone ?

I have just bourght a doblo cargo sx jtd 1.9 2002.

had few problems with same thing sat on drive and wont rev over 3000rpm until engine warms up to 90 degrees then it revs like mad.

just took it for 1st spin today it took me 10mins to get engine warmed up to 90, harldy no pull when coming onto round abouts and getting over taken by everyone ans sits at 30mph. .

Once i got it to temp it revved like new and pulled great, went on A road and pulled to 70 easy and roundabouts great but just that start problem.. Got home onto drive then went daft again on max revvs of 3500rpm

I noticed tho while driving along always had tones of black smoke when pulling away. So stood still and revved it for ages and when i moved it had left block scortch mark on road. .

So maybe same or similar problem as you..
