hi all im new here and new to fiats i have just purchased a fiat doblo 1.9 diesel non turbo and my problem is that it wont go any faster than 60mph it used to be ok until a eml light came on

Hi Arty, welcome to doblo forums, thats not a lot to go on have you thought of taking it to a fiat garage to have the codes diagnosed?

gobert one of those code readers and it came up with 3 fault codes cant remember codes but mentioned maf and map sensors

Take this advice at your peril as I haven't got a flying clue - MAF Mass air flow, thats the throttle body thingy in the air intake, so might be worth cleaning and or check air filter for blockage/filth, if that then works it may clear up the map error or may not i dunno. If that fails and taking it to an fiat garage as suggestion 1 is not possible? then replace the engine or car entirely.

Another thing to consider is fitting a new diesel filter. It may no be due one but I have had several clog up over the years long before they were due to be changed. Low top speed and an inability to rev very high is a usual give away. Its a cheap thing to eliminate from the possible causes as well
