hi all.

i have a fiat doblo 1.9 04 plate diesel.i also have no indication on my right hand side or hazard on my right hand side.i have taken her to two seperate garages, they have come to the same conclusion that the relay switch is basically kaput.

they then quoted me big money to get the relay switch, and then started going on about codes and stuff that went right over my head.

you might have gathered by now i'm not the most mechanically minded chap in the world:(.so what i would really like to know is the relay switch coded and does it really cost in the region of £400.00:cry:

any help or advice on this would be most appreciated.

Sounds a bit steep to me, flasher relays are just bi metalic strips that oscillate, and I cant imagine why anyone would need it coded to the ecu.
If the left side works then thats very strange cos there would likely just be one flasher relay which would then be connected to whichever sides bulbs, so it wouldnt need replacing if one side works.
Having said that my view might be a bit simplistic, maybe it is more complex.
Is the garage a Fiat one, if so you have some protection, if it's just some backstreet garage then they could take you to the cleaners. Don't let it baffle you, explain that you think its too expensive and ask exactly what you are getting, ask to see the prices on the computer etc. If they are good they will take the time to explain it properly. If they brush you off with gibberish then beware. Maybe phone the parts department of a fiat garage and ask how much the parts cost.

Hope this helps.

Hello there, i had the same problem but my one was left hand side lights, we sorted it out by fitting new relays on the fuse box basicly u need to unweld the old ones and weld back the new ones there are only 2 relays that control the lights.

Do you (they the garage) mean the 'body computer' ?

(I assume car is fixed now?)

Hi, i have a 54 plate doblo, my hazard indicators have also gone on the left side, I can't find the relays, the indicator sound is coming from the fuse box by the steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you mean switch of the lever of the indicators has problem i supose u have to change all the system i mean all the levers that u open lights and and wipers (this is the most posible that needs reprogramming) and i think theres no imititation brand name about that and as u understand that costs alot of money maybe u will find a used one or u manage to repair the switch somehow and i also think (i dont know if the system of the levers is divided and i dont remember if the plastics of the levers are too) u have to remove the whole steering wheel and believe me thats not easy and u might cause a problem to the wires of the airbag if u dont have alot of knowledge, and that must costs alot of money too

My 2006 Fiat Doblo has problems with it's blinkers as well. I have read here through all the posts but it didn't make things clear. Could someone explain a little bit about if the Doblo 2006 has a relay and where it is? Sounds come indeed from the fuse box by the steering wheel but I looked inside of it, unplugged the whole thing but as it was unclear I mounted it and was even scared if I caused any problems but the car at least started again.

My problems
The right side blinker is fine. Blinks in normal speed.
The left side don't work at all with all lights connected, if I take a 21 Watt out it blinks but fast.
Alarm light blinks fast.

I'm hoping for an easy solution, so far I spend half my day yesterday on something that supposed to be simple, please help wanted!

Thanks in advance
