I am buying a fiat doblo and have found that the back 2 sliding doors dont seem to be staying open without holding them, the catches dont seem to be working correctly.
Is this a common fault with these cars? and is this expensive to repair
I dont want to buy the car if this is common.
Any information will be great.
Thanks

I've had a doblo for 3 years now and never had this problem. Obviously there has to be something wrong with that particular car

The '06' one I bought (and subsequently returned for a full refund,) had this problem...

It was rectified with a good clean and greasing I believe...

It may have been a taxi before. Many Doblo taxi drivers remove the catch that keeps the door open because they get fed up with passengers futiley yanking away at the open door trying to pull it shut through sheer force rather than pulling the "trigger" to release the catch.

lubricate the lower sliding door mechanism, I have to do this every winter for same problem (road grit/salt/ice)...although it isn't really a problem as such as moving parts do seize if not lubricated periodically.
