General How have you upgraded or improved your Doblo?

I have now added sun visor extensions as the sun visors don't reach low enough on the new Doblo, and my passengers (mainly my mother) have been complaining about being blinded by the low winter sun. I am 6 foot 2 and the standard visors don't even reach low enough for me let alone my tiny mother !

i'm 5' 5" so i know that problem all too well! i just wear my oakleys most of the time!

I've always thought the doblo visors were massive, almost too big TBH, and I'm 5ft 10".

oh & have replaced the old H7 bulbs with nice, white & bright 4500k bulbs. Sidelights have been replaced with LED's

How about a set of alloy wheels from a 20vt Coupe? More rolling resistance and a tad over the top, but they get noticed !!!!

It doesn't take much to improve the look of a Doblo !!

Drove alongside a new Doblo this morning, and for those of us of a certain age... It makes a Hillman Husky look pretty !!

It's a good job we don't buy em for their Kerb appeal.

Hillman Husky ... oh my Dad had one of them ... and not the Hillman Imp version either the one based on the Commer Cob van... which was a pig of a car ... especially in the winter, it would never start and when it did which required all of us to push it .. the carbs would ice up after a few miles so it would splutter to a halt.

Actually I've just realised that the Doblo is the modern equivalent .. however it never fails to start and seem to run on forever... the mighty Doblo!

:)

Mine certainly drives better than it looks and most importantly it does everything that I ask of it.

fitted a set of 16" stilo alloys today that i bought on Thurs! just need to get centre caps for them

fitted a reverse parking sensor kit on Sunday. Cost me £14.99 on ebay & took about 1hr max to fit! kit even came with the correct sized drill attachment for cutting holes in bumper for sensors! (y)

I'm generally fine when it comes to parking but this is the 1st vehicle i've had with a towbar so keep forgetting it's on. Especially as i'll probably never use it

I'm 6'4 and cannot use the visors as the block too much screen. If I sit up straighter, that does a good enough job for me.

Splashed out on a new battery, amazed that it's nearly double the cold cranking capacity of the original & almost 10Ah more output.
Youngest decided he wanted my old battery for his car (1.3 fiesta Mk4) as it had to be in better nick than his - popped the bonnet & was amazed to see that his car has the identical battery - cheers for that one Fiat. Why are you expecting the battery for a 1.3 petrol Fiesta to turn over a 1.9 diesel :bang:.
What an amazing difference it has made to starting, glowplug light goes out much quicker & the engine spins & therefore fires much faster.

Yes I too recently bought a new battery (Bosch S5005 silver heay duty one with 5 year warranty) from:
http://www.carbatteriesonline.co.uk

The old one was a 50AH and the new one is 63AH, and including next business day delivery it worked out at £59.95 (half the cost of Halfords).

I previously had frequent spurious alarms on start up that would immediatley clear once started, and now these no longer appear - Bargain.(y)

Just wish i had done it sooner before spending the thick end of £100 at the dealers to have the car put on a diagnostic machine, only for them to tell me that nothing was wrong with the car.

i've just paid £40 for a new 90ah battery to run my invertor! my mate runs the local tyre & exhaust garage so i get tyres, batteries etc quite cheap! tracking & balancing done for free! (y)

That's a cracking price!!

yep! he always sees me right! I do send quite a few of my customers to him that ask me about tyres etc so he does everything that's for my van or my Mrs astra very cheap

Just had all my windows behind the driver tinted to the darkest tint available. Looks a treat. National company £240, made a lovely job.

Strange thing that I had not expected is that the car sounds slightly quieter inside. The plastic film (which was thicker than I expected when I handled it) must absorb a small amount of external noise as even my brother said he thought the car was slightly quieter and I had not even asked him.
