Anyone know anything about uprated alternators for Doblos?

I think I saw this as an option whilst browsing the Doblo Cargo brochure at at a dealer and I think I could do with one now.

I run a lot of laptops etc (via an inverter) off of leisure batteries in the back of my Doblo.

How do I get one? Can I bolt it straight on my 1.4 Petrol Dobbie?

Many thanks

i got my local auto generators to re wind my standard alt to 140amp, i also have a 100ah leasuire battery in the rear running two amplifiers. :)

problem is you use the tensioner abit more and tends to wear out abit quicker, im going for my 3rd one in 4month today.

Atleast i gots plenty of power!.

no ive got a 140amp durite split charger (£45) that is votage sensitve and only comes on at 13.8V and shuts of below that so only charges and is open to the relivant charging system during engine on, as soon as the engine is of it isolates the battery in the rear. but can still be used. lasts about 4hours on full volume.

it is connected by zero guage wire straight though from the top of the battery which goes straight to the durite split charger about 15cm from main battery then that wire to the other battery, ground it as near as possible to chassis and put bigger earthing from main battery to body.

hope this helps
