hi just bought a 2006 doblo 1.3 multijet,dont no if it is fitted with dpf filter or not ?
also wondering what kind of oil to use in it & does it have a timming belt or a chain not sure ??
would be greatfull if any one could help me or let me no of any thing i should look out for thanx leeroy

Having Bought one myself not 6hrs ago, a quick look through the owners manual (or inside of the fuel flap for the oil info) and a read of the owners reviews on the parkers site, yields the following:

1> Yes.
2> 5w40 engine oil (3 litres of) & 75w-80 Gearbox oil (2 litres of)
3> Chain

If you want to go to the full 12K service interval.. (not recommended if you want a long engine life) then make sure you get the best quality long life fully synthetic oil.

Was looking at this today in Tesco.. their fully synthetic 5/40 £20 per 4 litre.. Castrol Edge £16 for one litre!!!

I'll buy the Tesco stuff and change the oil at 6K miles.. and replace the filter every 12k.

I have had long conversations with oil technologists in the past and they all say there is no oil that will stay in spec after 8K miles.. too much contaminants.

They can suspend some in the oil by using detergents and neutralise some of the acids.. but there is nothing they can do about the waxes and part or unburned fuel that dilutes the oil as the milage increases.
