Hello ppl, I am newbie here. And looking for some advice.

My 56' doblo 1.9 td need a regeneration as fiatecuscan said it was 110% blocked and normal clogging. I tried a forced regen and it says filter clogged and doesn't rev past 2000 rpm for a minute. Then stops.

Is there any way to try and clear this so I can get the car out limp home mode it's driving me nuts.

The car has done 72k is the dpf dead ?

And if can push my luck can someone tell me how to remove the heater so I can replace a couple of bulbs.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Peter

Does the car have to go to fiat for updates? I'm not convinced the dpf is knackered my mechanic said that I need a new boost presure sensor because it is broken, he noticed or broke this when I got my clutch done.

Can someone tell me where this is located so I can examine it myself or replace would this make ecuscan abort a forced regen?

Any help or advice is gratefully appreciated

Get it up on a ramp, the DPF will have two hoses coming out of the can, one upstream, one downstream. Follow them back and they will conclude at a small black box which is connected to the vehicle harness via a plug. That is the pressure differential sensor. I do not know if they can be fault tested though.
As for the DPF, if its blocked badly they can be cleaned by putting into an oven and the soot will be burnt of. A dealer would probably want to sell you a new one at some ridiculous price so they may not want you to know about this procedure. I had to have mine done due to a faulty ECU. Luckily it was under warranty at the time.

Cheers,
Dave.

fiatscan should give the relevant info on the sensors operation.

Badly blocked filter can be cleaned without removal, only known one DPF to be replaced and I'm quite sure that was mis-diagnosed.

just passing on the information its as diesel bob says in his article its up to the owner of vehicle

more power better fuel economy must be better for the enviroment

I am sure that bob has done all the tests to check that, what he does not know about diesel vehicles is not worth knowing.

He has one of the best reputations for diesel repair and servicing in the uk.

We have him recomended on fronteraowners.org for vp44 pumps,vm41 pumps, 2.3 pumps, 2.8 pumps and injectors for all.

I have had two of mine in diesel bobs one for vp44 pump injector seals

the other recently for swirl valves and egr service

its back with more power less emissions but those are saab/ vauxhall engines

its worth reading his site he is spot on on veggy fuel and modifications
