Does anyone have any diagrams or photos
they can post to show how to fix or identify
problems.

Sprayed the plug and contact area then saw that the shroud containing the cable had a split on it. one of the cables was half split. Cut and rejoined via a "chocolate block" now working like new.:)

Hi all you nice chaps and girls, can you please tell me what wheel the speed sensor is on. My mile o meter and speedo is not working, can you please help.

Can you please tell me if it comes from the abs wheel sensor itself and if so what wheel sensor it comes from or from the abs box. I.E point me in the direction of where the sensor is.
Many thanks

Traditionally it's driven by the gearbox,
however the ABS System also checks wheel speed , via all 4 x wheel rotors ;https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-ii/442284-speedometer.html

does the ABS light come on - to selftest,
then go off again..??

I suspect if the ABS is reading wheel speed ok then you've a different issue,
maybe worth using software to scan for errors and reset things.

JTD was FIAT's invention of the worlds first common rain passenger car diesel - it was 8 Valve in @1999

to get better "driveability" it went 16V and jot rebadged Multijet,

basically you'll need to connect the fault code socket to a device that can read fault codes,
basic £10 ones read ENGINE codes only,
you require something that basically does the ENTIRE SYSTEM,

ABS , Airbags, Dashboard , Engine, Lighting , etc

a LOT of this is worked with CANBUS..

MultiECUScan is what I use, but there are a few alternatives,

the van derived stuff can be a bit of a strange mix of kit,
look for posts in the Mk3 Fiorino and Qubo sections similar to your issue,

Hi,
For Multiecuscan (MES) you need an ELM327 interface plus adaptor leads and possibly a Vag-com style KL. eBay item 161715574389 covers all but old (3 pin) cars. I've bought from that seller with no issues. The very cheap interfaces have a design fault and need modification, search for ELM 327 USB Modified Multiecuscan MES can be downloaded from their website http://www.multiecuscan.net/ Make sure it all works and then pay the 50 euro registration fee. Runs on any laptop from windows XP (SP2) to Windows 10.

Hi all I have looked all over and I can not see how I speedo and trip meter is not working, I have a sneaky suspicion that some one has pulled something to stop the mileage going up, anybody got any idea what could have been pulled.
Cheers
