I test drove a 2011 new shape doblo today, had the 1.3 dsl engine in it. very impressed with it. drove it for 28 miles mixture of motorway, hils and town. averaged 51mpg allowing some hard driving. Nice and nippy i must say and loads of room compared to my florino but also more money

you tempted?

Im very tempted, im a photographer and do onboard setups for tv, i wouldnt carry a mad amount of gear. I love the florino but i sold it to buy a new one or a new doblo. Florino was a little bouncy on the roads and people complained of sore backs after a long trip in it. Appart from that i loved it and it usally averaged 52 - 58mpg...................... The doblo was lovely, not bouncy at all and the bulkhead with the padding left it so quiet, and the power from the 1.3 really suprised me as i thought it would be a little dead with the big body. 51mpg also suprised me and i reckon it could be nursed up to around the 54 - 58 mpg. I was offered a 2011 un registered one with 80kms on it, it was an sx model with metallic paint, sliding door, bulkhead, and a stereo that look like id need to do a night course to use it for €13700............. Still cant believe how good it drove, was the type of van you look foward to driving
