I've just bought a 2007 Doblo family. I've just folded the middle row of seats up and now I can't get the middle one back up again. I can get its base on the floor but the seat back remains resolutely in the flat position. I've found the lever but no amount of tugging will get it to release the seat back. Anyone had this problem and can suggest a solution?

If you look inbetween the seat bases (next to the seat belt anchor) you should find a pull loop (looks like it's made of the same material the seatbelt is made from). You need to pull it up and then raise the seat back. From personal experience sometimes it just doesn't want to know. If you can't find it I'll try to take a photo for you.

Thankyou both for your advice. I'm afraid its actualy broken -I've spent a long while removing the plastic covers and part of the upholstery to reveal the mechanism and I can see that when I pull the tab on the left of the seat (as seen from behind) the left hand half of the mechanism releases but the right hand half doesn't move. If I force the right hand half with a screwdrive and apull the tab then the seat folds (but it needs three hands!). There's a rod that links the two which is not attached to the lever. There's a four pronged piece of metal that folds back onto the base of the lever and I guess should be welded to it, but at the moment it just revolves freely. I'll try aralditing it to begin with, but it looks like it might need a spot welder which I don't possess.

Hi. I've just acquired a 2007 1.3 Multijet Family and have exactly the same problem with the middle 2nd row seat back refusing to return to the upright position. The handbook doesn't help either - it seems to refer to an earlier version. I sussed out that the tab at the side of the seat needed to be pulled forward, but the seat still wouldn't unlock. In fact I pulled so hard that the projection that the tab is attached to snapped off. I'm attempting to remove the plastic covers around the seat hinge but even that is proving difficult. Any advice would be appreciated, especially any diagrams showing how it all works. Thanks if anyone can help.
