Hi Guys. Im at my witts end here! I have a 06 Doblo multijet 1.9 that starts smoking after a while of driving. its fine at low speeds but once ive been over 50mph i can garentee it will start smoking bad. ive taken it to a fiat dealership on a diagnostic check and they said it was the brake light switch under the clutch pedal. i replaced the part but the van is no better. now the dealership dosent want to know. the turbo is brand new and the timing belt has been changed. PLEASE can someone help!
Regards Rik:cry:

I assume the smoking you refer to is from the exhaust and I also assume the brakes are not binding which can also cause smoke or heat from the brake hubs etc. There are several reasons why an engine will produce smoke from the exhaust but never in the history of motoring has a faulty brake light switch ever caused excessive exhaust smoke or even some exhaust discolouration. There must be some mistake or the garage have mixed up the job cards with someone whe had a brake light issue.
