Hi, my wipers have stopped working. I think this was through trying to start them when they were frozen to the windscreen in the recent bad weather. The wiper arms are now very 'wobbly' and I get a kind of grinding noise when I turn the wiper motor on. When I wiggle the arms they seem to catch and start wiping but become loose again. Does this sound like a problem with the linkage arms (I gather that I can get a replacement kit from Wipex for £30) or is it worse than that ?

Also does anyone have a photo/diagram that shows me how the wipers/motor/linkage all fits together ? I am trying to work out if the whole assembly needs replacing or not (have not delved under the hood yet as it's so cold).

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I had a look at the wipers and the nuts are very tight on the splines, the 'wobble' seems to be further down inside the car - I imagine where the linkage arms connect.

could be new linkage required just thought might be idea to tighten

No, I cannot tighten the wipers up any more. Looks like I'll have to look inside. Anyone got any pictures of what I will see and explain what is what when I do ? Cheers.

I've just ordered the Doblo version of the Wipex kit based on the above post. I'm hoping for quick postage!

I have not had quick postage. I'm still waiting and the company wont reply to my emails.:bang: I suppose they are taking a Christmas break but I would still have hoped to have received the Wipex kit by now! I ordered on the 16th of December!

Parts finally arrived on the 6th of Jan. Good parts, work well but I'm really unhappy with the Wipex communication!
