My 03 diesel SX has the same problem. First two test showed nothing. Done an advanced test and pointed the problem to the rotor position sensor in the fuel pump. Was told it would be so expensive to fix that I might as well get another car. Still trying to get advice.

If it is the rotor position sensors in the pump (check on examiner) then its time to go the journey to the auctions or traded in unless you want to/can spend £1000 on it

for how much....and how long before fault returns? This version of the car is poor in comparison to the turbo version.

This is it, don't want to spend £-000s on it. Emailed to dieselbob.co.uk, but hv received no reply. Don't want to go to Blackburn where it is located before getting a rough idea on whether it worths repairing.
