hi i bought i 53 plate doblo 1.9 tdi with clutch problems i removed the clutch and when i went to fit a new one, I discover the neither old or new clutches had flywheel side on them. i have put the new clutch on with the larger piece sitting towards the thrust bearing. as i can no longer select gears and clutch pedal is very light i am wounding whether the clutch is wrong way round, or if there is possible other fault. the slave cylinder seems to be work ok. and therees a new thrust bearing.
any help would be appercated.

Is the master cylinder ok, had the same prob lem with mine, and had to change master cylinder and slave cylinder even though they looked as if they were working, one was around £30 and the other about £60 can't remember which

Hi mate, from memoray don't think you can fit plate wrong way round as the centre catchs on the flywheel and you would notice when fitting as wouldn't sit flat against face. Get someone to sit in and depress clutch while you check pushrod on slave cylinder is travelling to operate clutch, also with clutch pedal pushed down by someone check clutch arm is not creeping back (seals gone or air in system),hope this is helpful.;)

Hi there did you sort your doblo clutch problem out. I have the same problem after fitting a new clutch and would like to hear the outcome with yours. cheers.

Hi guys upate to last post. I'd put the clutch plate in back to front. The correct way is longest part of center boss to flywheel. Works wonders! NOT an easy job though if you attempt a clutch change you need to be confident and patient and have a good selection of tools. Oh and another pair of strong hands will help no end. Information regarding repair procedures on a doblo is very scarce so be sure of what you are doing. Thanks.
