High Guys just joined, hope you can help. fiat doblo van 1.9 jtd. engine cut out then restarted whilst driving, energy management light came on & when i switched off won't start again. managed to tow it to a diagnostic garage and error code came up camshaft and crankshaft out of sync. just had new timing belt 2 weeks ago including pulleys, water pump. Has belt jumped or is problem unrelated. Tony, sparky, can't get to work.

yes reset codes a couple of times, same code came back.

check sensor wires not disconnected take back to garage that did belt

basically the crank sensor thinks the engine is in 'this' position but the cam sensor says its in 'this' position and the ECU thinks oh f*ck what position is the engine in......I better shut down incase damage is done.

so I would say its quite likely something was done during the belt change (its easy to damage the cam sensor when doing these belts) however its worth trying a crank sensor first (£24) as it wont go amiss anyway.
