Hi guys, i am looking to buy a doblo and wanted to get your advice on a few things. the doblo i am looking to buy is a 54(2004) 1.9jtd active got 60k on clock.

1. do these engines have timing belts or chains?seller says they have chain but i cant find any info confirming this on net?
2.are there any common problems/faults to look out for?
3. are they reliable?
4.any issues with suspention?
5. any other advice?

1.9's are belt (1.3s are chain) and at 60k/6 years it needs changed (5yr) and do water pump at same time.
2.are there any common problems/faults to look out for?
On the engine or car? Have a browse through the doblo technical section(y)
3. are they reliable? I have one:)
4.any issues with suspension? Not if overloaded, some beef up rear springs. Front suspnsion/steering no worse than any other car.
5. any other advice?

tax £86 / 6 months, 50MPG easily, tons of room, change standard radio as its crap, get Fiat sunblinds or tint rear windows as loads of glass means hot passengers unless you have aircon, tailgate locks can seize so lubricate regulary but overall the doblo has proved reliable (not including the crap 1.9 non-turbo lucas pump models!)
