hi i have a doblo 1.9d.i noticed lately that the engine seems to dying at idle when at stand still so i decided to pull pipes off fuel filter and noticed that there was no fuel in the filter.i checked the tank sender unit in the back of the van for 12v and there was no power with ignition on and when cranking.Does any body know were fuse is or even the power relays for the fuel sender unit?????????.i seems the wires from the unit go into the internal fuse box under the steering wheel:bang:

thanks ill try that but if the engine is running the fuel should be flowing threw the unit??????????Does anybody know if theres power UNIT when ignition on or cranking?theres four wires at the multi plug on the sender unit.Could anybody tell me what wire,s do what.Theres TWO BIG WIRES(blue/white and brown) then TWO small WIRE,S white/black and red/grey.If anybody has a wiring diagram for this van it would be great

Did you manage to get wiring diagrams? Am trying to source with great difficulty if you can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks

The 1.9 D (non turbo) does not have a fuel pump in the tank, the injector pump supplies fuel to the injectors but also draws fuel from the tank. If the vehicle will not tick over it could be a fuel filter issue but you can prove this by taking the suction and return lines off the filter and putting them into a 5 ltr can of clean fuel - then just run the engine.
The Lucas injection pump does not like "alternative" fuels in cold weather and will certainly not tolerate any air in the system so the above referenced filter & fuel tank bypass is a good starting point.
