Has anyone tried one of these tuning chip boxes? There seems to be quite a few different ones on ebay for around £79. Do they work and are they likely to damage the engine/ECU? I'm looking more for better MPG than MPH.

I have seen lots of the boxes about not all work but if you check out www.dieselbob.co.uk it may answer questions

you can get it remapped cheaper to suit your driving requirements

also consider bigger intercoolers or turbo enhancements

i have a tmc tunning box on mine,more than happy with it ,next the cats coming out and a bigger intercooler.

its better on fuel now aswell!

Thanks for the replies. Where do you get the TMC boxes from and how much are they? Also do you need to take them back off at MOT time?
