i took delivery of a 56 plate doblo mpv with wheelchair access in August of 2007,vehicle had 32k on the clock,with a 1.3 turbo diesel engine.
vehicle lacked power from day one ,having difficulty climbing my drive in particular.
At approx 37.5k,the timing chain and associated guides and oil pump/casing were changed due to the noise getting worse,and afterward the vehicle seemed slightly better.This repair was done under warranty.
however,the whole lot needed doing again at 84 .7k,and cost me a considerable amount.of time and money.
a few weekss ago ,i noticed a terrible noise apparently from the top end, similar to loose tappets,and a main dealer was stated as saying that if the engine had been rebuilt twice already that there was not much point spending any more on it.Two days ago ,at 95 .5k,the car broke down and had to be recovered,and so far refuses to restart.have any one else had any problems?
Fiat stoppeed producing this unit in may of 2008,due to external factors,any comments would be welcome.thankyou
