Had my Doblo 3 months now and no problems. 1.9 Turbo Diesel. Ive done over 4000 miles happily. Tonite whilst leaving work we had torrential rain for about an hour. Shortly after driving in this I lost power. Whatever gear and with my foot to the floor I couldnt get it to go over 25 mph. Managed to drive it to a local dealer ( not Fiat- I bought it second hand- its a 2002 ) whereI have an extended warranty . Im taking it in tomorrow morning at 8 for a recce.
No warning lights on, no revving, engine sounded normal just couldnt get any acceleration or speed over 25-30 mph....
Does anyone have ANY clues as to what it might be ? I wonder if the heavy rain has done anything.
Im at a loss and very upset as I was supposed to be driving to Scotland on Friday lunchtime....

He's a Fiat senior technician and a mine of very sensible information. He knows what he's talking about, but, as with all car related problems, the best bet is to have someone who knows what they are doing actually look at the car. Advice on-line can only be of so much use.

This happens to me now and again but in the dry as well. I know its time to put injector cleaner in it and belt up the m/way for a couple of minutes (very high revs lol). You should see what comes out the back. Then its fine again. Unless you have a very dirty egr valve.
Good luck with it.:)

First try disconnecting air flow meter....any better?

Is wastegate moving?

Thanks everyone:) The following morning it was running ok. Took it to my garage anyway and they checked it over for any loose connections etc .and found nothing. They put it down to water getting in somewhere as we had torrential rain. Still worrying, but touch wood- its run fine since. Ive put injector cleaner into the diesel tank and its smoking less. Now need a service-re-oil change etc. as not sure when it was last done..
