General is my 2004 doblo 1.9jtd sx a turbo as smoking bad

hi is my 53 plate doblo a turbo as there is no intercooler and carnt see any turbo it is a 1.9 jtd sx i thought td stands for turbo diesal as my doblo smokes bad blue smoke and hoped it was the turbo as engine runs fine but does have a stutter at 2500 revs in every gear and van isnt that fast and also glow light flashes when started but smoke is the real problem van sounds like new

hi, mines a 2004 1.9jtd mpv and its got a turbo, so would think the van is the same, as for the flashing glow plug light, that indicates one or more glow plugs need replacing, however, mines been flashing for 2 years now with no starting problems! regards, geoff.

Glowplug light flashing:

Unless its causing starting problems I'd just ignore it. A couple of years ago we had the light but the van was still starting ok. When the van was next serviced I asked them to replace the glow plugs. One of then stripped the thread as it came out meaning the head had to come off for repair - BIG BILL.

its def not a turbo as there isnt 1 there unless its hidden under the manifold cover but no intercooler and air filter goes into the rocker cover bit but does anyone know why its smoking blue smoke bad

A JTD is a Turbo, a little one out of sight at the back of the engine, as for the smoking, well I have a 2002 jtd which really smoked, tried different fuel treatments, but eventually we put injector cleaner direct into the fuel filter and ran her, problem solved, she ran as clean as a whistle, now I not suggesting you do this, just saying it worked for me
