Hi, ive still a 2005 doblo 1.9 jtd, recently the glow plug light flashes, it all starts ok but after a min or two it flashes, pluged it in using a friends diagnoser(???) and it says "plate heater thermostart" (not thermostat as i first thought!!!) has anyone come acros this at all or even know what one is?? ive tried google and now think i understand what the system is but as to where or what it looks like i dont have any idea
please put me out of my missery!!!

Think you will find a glow plug is on its way out.
Id try them first.

My Doblos do the same. My 02 Cargo JTD. She can sound like she's struggling when starting in the cold, but she always starts. She's been like that for years. Last summer I had the cat changed and part of the exhaust. My mechanic said the cat caused the glow plug light to flash after starting? Sounds a bit strange.
The 07 Family has started doing the flash last year some time. The dealer (useless shower) told me a glow plug is gone. She starts no problem too.
