Hi all.

Doblo 1.3 Multijet, 56 plate - 32,000miles.

Have searched here for any info re: Dashboard Brake light not coming off & cant find much other than check your brake fluid level. (it's definitely not that).

The red symbol is constantly on whether the hand brake is on or not.
I have recently (2 days ago) changed my front pads & discs.
Have bled all four corners thoroughly.
1.5 litres of the stuff to be exact....!!!! at least 20 pumps per wheel.

Yet still the dash light will not go off.......!

Any tips on here from anyone?

Thanks Mike

Have you tryd unpluging the level sensor on the brake fluid?
if it wasnt on before you did the pads then the sensor might of stuck down (big maybee)
Have the pads got wear indicators on?,no bare wire earthing on anything?
must be something simple, but without being near to you and having a look its hard.

hope this is of some use

Regards

Richie

Thanks Richie.

The pads I took off did not have a sensor wire, although the new ones I replaced did.
I took it there was no sensor fitted for this model ??

My old pads where down to a couple of mm (as below) & the light was not staying on.

No, I haven't checked the wiring connections at the reservoir, so will give that a go in the morning.

As you can see by the first pic, they were wearing very erratic, grooving on the disc.

Found the problem.

The filter was holding the brake fluid too well.

Took the filter out to find a 2" gap of air......Filled the void up with fluid put the cleaned filter back in.....Jobs a goodun.!:)
