Posts: 10 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | DOBLO 1.3 2004 loss of power Hi all and Happy New Year. I am looking for advice on what could be the problem with my Doblo. Was working fine until a week ago when the snow came and then the engine light came on and now it feels like there is not enough diesel getting to the engine when pulling away in 1st 2nd 3rd gear etc.The engine is real sluggish. Its ok when i get it up into 5th buit getting there is a real struglle. Plus MPG is down in the low 40's when normally it was at 51 ish. I checked out some of the threads on this forum and EGR and MAF problems keep cropping up, so i disconnected the sensor to the EGR and the engine seemd to work ok for a short while until i stopped to get diesel and then when i started up again the problem returned. Anyone else had the same problems? Appologies if this has already been discussed. Any help greatly appreciated. Moremeba

Posts: 10 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: DOBLO 1.3 2004 loss of power Hi Truey, i still have the same problem despite spending £300 at the garage. They changed the MAP sensor and MAF sensor because thats what their diagnostic kit came back with. This cleared the engine light for a day or so but the car still ran really rough and the MPG was down by about 10 MPG. The car has been back in 3 times now and each time the fault clears for a day or so and then comes back. It feels like the turbo is not working at full strength, and occasionaly it will be ok for a few miles and then back to lower power. I was hoping one of the gurus on here would be able to tell me where to find the turbo boost sensor and how easy/hard it is to change. The garage and me are both loosing patience with each other and i am going round in circles, they say its the MAF/MAP sensor problem showing up on their computer and each time they reset it it clears. My suggestion to you would be to chnage the turbo boost sensor first, i doubt very much there was a fault on my MAP/MAF sensor in the first place. Any help advice regarding the turbo boost sensor greatly received. Cheers Moremeba

More often than not they can point towards EGR fault's with the valve being stuck open/closed with out producing he typical p0401 codes etc for egr. Depending on the code description also, the 1300's can suffer with sticking actuators producing an over boost which will instantly put your MIL on and put the vehicle into limp mode to stop it occuring again If you can post up the full code(s) and descriptions

![]() | Re: DOBLO 1.3 2004 loss of power I have recently had my turbo pressure sensor replaced (2004 1.3 Panda, but the same engine as far as i know). I didn't do it myself, but the garage (main dealer) i go to lets you sit and watch as they do it. They took the air filter housing off and then it was between the back of the engine and the bulkhead between the back of the engine and cockpit. The mechanic had a bit of a whinge that you needed tiny fingers to get into the gap. Nevertheless, it only took 45mins to diagnose, fit and test, the part was in stock and it cost a total of 70euros, so the part itself can't be too pricey if you fit it yourself. My symptoms had been engine light on and loss of power/limp home mode coming on.
