I have a 52 doblo cargo. Got a spare bit of cash so giving it a new lease of life.

I wanna get rid of the old tape deck that came with it.

The person i bought it from said fiat tried to remove it but couldnt.

So any advice on how to take it out?? Also does it take a normal sized headunit?

I replaced the head unit in my Dobbie in '05, when I got it. I can't remember if I had removal pins supplied with the car (it was new) or if I used four bits of cut, wire coat hanger - has it got four holes, two to each side?. It will come out easily enough, after the clasps are 'pulled in'. It is a standard DIN size so any conventional unit will fit. I have a Sony unit in mine but if you search the forums you may find that Sony (and some other units) either need the permanently +live feed & the ignition +live feed swapped around or have it permanently wired +live feed. The latter is how mine is set-up, that way you can have the radio/CD on at any time with out the need for a key in the ignition & engine running.
