hi, ive heard about these problems before on doblos, flashing displays, headlights flashing erratically, and although i have never had this on my 1.9 jtd, it does happen almost every time i plug in my obd diagnostic scanner, this i cannot explain, maybee some poor comunication between scanner and ecu, or software annomalies , but dont you thnk its a bit of a coincidence? regards, geoff.

Had the same on my cargo it turned out to be my fault,i fit new headlights(as i imported from england to France)and blew the indicator fuse when wiggling wire with engine running(must have earthed out)within space of ten minutes lights for preheat and various others on dash display were playing up and it was a swine to start. The fiat dealer suggested the disconnection of battery for a few hours(get radio codes first)which i tried before finding the blown fuse, according to him the flashing milometer is a warning that something is going wrong somewhere so dont just forget it or it could be expensive.Sorry for long time response
