I have a 2002 1.9 JTD Doblo cargo, and i have had a loud squealing/vibrating noise coming from around the Fan belt sort of area. I have had 2 new fan belts fitted in the past 18 months, and the second one has jsut snapped tonight. I have taken my van to my mates workshop and he has had a look, think maybe its a dodgy pulley or something? or maybe tensioner on the fan belt? the noise is constant when idle, and eases off when accelerating but its still there.
any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Take off fan belt, check pulleys for ease of turning, play etc. Could be water pump, power steering hydralics or dodgy injection pump.

When they changed mine four years ago (it snapped - common problem!) thay changed the pulleys at the same time.

It might be time for a new water pump though; I'm told these squeal to let you know they are dying.
