Hello, can any one help?
My 1.3d multijet van lost power whilst going up a hill on the motorway to such an extent it was getting dangerously slow so I pulled over onto the hard shoulder. The engine stopped on its own, all gauges were normal. I tried to re-start but no joy. It sounded like the engine was turning over on the starter too easily without any compression but there was no nasty noises at any time like any thing had broken or come together when it shouldn't of.
Any idea's ?

Sorry mate, haven't much of a clue with this modern tech but I'll bet when it goes on the computer they'll say it's a ten-bob sensor (probably the mdf sensor guv'nor) & want hundreds to sort it.

the DPF? No, it won't be that, the engine wouldn't have cut out.

If there was no compression it could be nasty...cambelt snapped? No it won't be that either, the engine would have stopped straight away.

esp as it doesn't have a cambelt!

they can break cranks though.
