picking up an 04 1,9 jtd active,basiclly what power should it have ? or if you don't know how can i tell the differences?

i did a quick search on google and the production date for the 120 bhp is 1st of dec 2005 till now, so should be a 105 bhp, hope this is of help to you, regards, geoff.

But you can wire a resistor in from maplins for pence and get the turbo in for longer,or theres tuning boxes off ebay that make em fly!! just sold my fiorino today as ive just brought an 05 19jtd doblo so mine seems quick as fook at the moment compared to my old fiorino,but the fiorino was so reliable it will take some beating.

just wondered if the 105 lacked an intercooler,but after picking the doblo up i can see it does have!

Ade's just done a jtd with a resistor,no noticable difference in 1st,2nd but 3rd,4th,and 5th gear it just pulls and pulls.
Been in it and seen the difference,deffo better!
Id trust him with my life not just my van
perhaps youre wiring it in a different way,this method comes direct from the tech's at Fiat Warrington .

I will ask my mate to write it down for me,as he told me in great detail (cuz he's like that.) and sometimes its hard to take in ;o)
all i basicaly remember is...its a variable vein turbo,and the resistor fools the turbo into staying in longer,he explained resistor size in ohm's but,...i think my jaw dropped as he got me baffled!!
I will find out for you,& me!!
you can only go so big with the resistor or the engine management light will come on,but its perfectly safe (the smaller one) and i will try and get the guy who's jtd Ades done to post on here,as his mates had his remap't (£200) and says this one goes better.

as a turbo does not need electricity,i still don't see how it works!!!!!

What the resistor if done right!!!!!!!!! will do is make the control unit think the returning signal is low. so causing the turbo control valve to open longer (much longer) and this depends on the resistor used.
This is better and cheaper than those fuel regulator boxes that cause loads of black smoke ****************

where does the extra fuel come from to go with the extra boost?
As long as you dont exceed as set parameter set by the programer.
You are looking at 20 - 25 % window before the Ecu drops into limp home mod.
But as for fuelling all is taken carrie by monitoring sensor values from airflow meter, manifold pressure sens; rpm and phase and not forgetting the high pressure rail sensor. so adjusting injection timing, duraction and pulses, to fuel delivery pressure, to turbo modulation of boost contol.
So as long as you stay within that window you are ok. and if you take it to max you need to up rate some hoses or pop they go.:devil:

i will get Ade to post it up,as he can explain,all i can say is the sensor the resistor fools/ alters the fueling.
hopefully Ade will pop it on 4 ya.
