Hi guys
Im new to this forum
we have a 1.9jtd Doblo in the family that has done 80.000 miles without any major problems
my son has been driving it for the last 30.000 miles and it is now using oil at an alarming rate 2 to 3 ltrs a week
there is a lot of presuure when you unscrew the oil cap and just leave it on top of the thread
need help with this before he seizes the engine

The oil has to be going somewhere. Is it dropping it or burning it?

There seems to be so much pressure in the rocker box I asume its burning it

have a look underneath at your oil cooler, (beside the oil filter) for leaks.

mine is consuming oil, so i looked underneath and the oil cooler is leaking, It was replaced just a year ago, so must be some kind of weak point.

Has he been guning it everywhere???, could be the piston rings if you have pressure like ur saying in the crankcase.
Just looking through the doblo section as im thinking of gettig one,but looks like my old fiorino might be a stronger van???
