Hi, first post.:)

Been looking on here for some time, due to a major problem i had with a serious vibration.. cost me a fortune but sorted now.. Some great advice on here though..(y)(y)(y)(y)

Any way.. having picked up the Doblo cargo in Decemeber having it for six days... then only getting it back from the garage today..:mad::mad:

Can anyone tell me which wheels in the fiat range( alloys) are compatible for the Doblo Cargo.. 15" not sure if being a van will make much difference

It wont be loaded heavily so no need to stress there..(y)

Many in advance Rup

i have a set of punto 15" wheels on my doblo which are a perfect fit for pcd and offset

but i do believe the newer punto wheels are 4x100 instead of the old 4x98?? pls correct me where neccessary!

15 inch wheels make the ride harder so i wud be careful with 16's as i trade with my van i carry extra weight depends how much comfort you like i suppose! :)

Thanks for the info.. i'll keep my eyes open for some older stlye punto ones , but also some coupe ones.. think i saw an old thread with some one who put some on..:)

Don't forget, the speedo is calibrated for the supplied wheel size, increasing the wheel size from a 15 to a 16" will increase the distance travelled per revolution - OK, so it's only an extra 3 1/4" which might not seem much but could land you a speeding ticket.

As long as you fit the correct tyre depth to the larger diameter wheel ie shallower more low profile tyre this will keep the overall circumferance of the whel /tyre the same and keep your speedo acurate.

use on online tyre calculator theres loads about you put in the original OE tyre size and work out what size wheels/tyres you can have you must stick within +/- 2.5% of the original circumference to remain accurate

i have 205/55/15's on my doblo for extra grip and they actually wear perfectly evenly across the tyre and grip well, where as the original skinny tyres the dobbin came with didnt grip at all and always scrubbed off the outside edges of the tyres from all the understeer!

the only thing you have to watch is that you can get the extra load rated tyres the dobbin needs in your new size! :)

I also have just purchased a 2014 Doblo cargo maxi, I would quite like alloys . What 5 stud fiat wheels fit? Looked a Punto , but they are 4 stud.

Once loaded my 1.4 Stilo (already lowered from standard ride hight by six cm). up with a van load of Slabs, had sixteen 60 x 60 of them over and in front, behind the back axles.

My 7.5 x 15 alloys had 205 x 60 tyres. The fuc£er was on the bumpstops. All I had to do was adjust the rear and front pressures (front was 36psi from 34, rear was increased from 32psi to 40Psi)

Drove for twenty miles (Mostly the M77) ok most other drivers thought I was driving a boat on the motorway.

If you gain the advice of a decent tyre fitter they can advise what pressure your tyres should be. And what will fit on without removing your inner arches or the tops of your wing lips.

More damage is done by not knowing what pressure your wheels are at, although alloys are much thicker than steel wheels, they do suffer from micro fractures if incorrectly used commercially. But thicker alloys can withstand a Saturn rocket blast, and the weight of Psv buses and coaches.

The van will only be used to transport 5 Husky’s

They all would be as heavy as two sturdy adults, or three Husky Motox X bikes. Well 250cc ones.

But the canines don't move as quickly as the Moto X bike on gravel. But they would tank most things (apart from hunting avains) across most surfaces.

But do pull and fetch humans on sledges.

So if your Doblio breaks down, just hitch them up.
