Hello all.
I have just purchased a Doblo 1.9jtd estate and the front passenger door has a rattle when going over a roughish surface. Its more like a light knock and seems to be comming from the door lock area. Any ideas?. Its quite annoying but apart from that I cannot fault it.
Thanks in advance

Sounds Silly mate, but check the glove box. When I picked mine up I didn't realise that the dealers had left the towing eye in there which made a racket over bumps! :)

Are you sure it's the front door and not the rear door. I've had a rattle from the rear sliding offside door since the car was new two year ago, it can be difficult to tell where it's coming from. I can stop it by holding the door tightly closed but the plods don't like you doing that and driving at the same time. There doesn't seem to be any way of adjusting the doors so that they close better. The garage I use said they fixed at the second service, the said they'd tightened some screws, but it's still there, it was iritating at first but I'm starting to get used to it. I wouldn't mind fixing it if I could though

Mate try taking all the tools (jack etc) out of the car and go for a test drive. Have you tried this?? Coz those tools do clatter around!

Thanks for your replies chaps. I understand what you are saying and after looking at the door it appears that it is not adjusted properly as it shuts softly without a click. It could be the back door but its not anything that I will worry about too much.
I wonder if you could tell me how to get the radio out as I want to put my old cd player in. The radio is rubbish at the moment and wondered if is needs tuning into the area I am in (trimming).
I am beginning to see what owning a Doblo is all about.
Thanks again.

As for the radio.....

Pop into your local Halfrauds and buy some radio removal keys (£2ish) then slot each key into the hols on either side of the fiat radio. Push the keys in and it sound pop out. Remove connecter plug (ISO) and ariel. Plug new cd play connector block into ISO and plug in radio. Slot in new CD player. Very easy mate, 20 minute job. (y)

Except Halfrauds iso leads reverse the left & right speaker wires !!

Better (& IMHO cheaper) from Maplins or CPC

Thanks for your comments. The Doblo is going to the garage Friday. I will let you know what happens. They are going to look at the drivers airbag as well as there is a noise comming from its housing somewhere.
It took ages for them to answer the phone but they have to deal with my wife. Think I better take the camera as it should be good if they try and blag her. :p

Re: Doblo door rattle. Cured

Well took the car in to Northgate Garage, Ashford Kent. Young chap came for a ride to listen, went back picked up a courtesy car and got a call three hours later saying it was ready.
Everything is fine now it makes no noise at all.
I am very happy with the service and courtesy extended by them and am happy to recommend them. :)
