hello,

i have a bad noisey vibration rattle from auxilary belt area on tick over, if i lightly give it a bit more throttle it goes , when looking from underneath i noticed the bottom pulley wheeving a little so i took the belt off all together and the noise stopped.
i am wondering if anyone noes what it could be ?? also if on this model the crank pulley is mounted in rubber and if they play up !!
any ideas please

cheers

I had a auxillary belt changed under warranty a year ago on my 06 cargo.

as it was squeeling when cold, also had the automatic aux belt tensioner changed too as faulty.

no probs since 15000 miles done . a few have had faulty tensioners.

Firstly change the aux belt and see

my pulley was faulty (the auxilary pulley that fits over the crank pulley) its also got rubber in the centre, blip accelarator and noise goes, so swapped and now silent, it cost about 80 quid from fiat dealer and i fitted it myself its realy easy job, i also put a new belt on (aux belt somtimes referd to as fan belt) mines a 1910 jtd and the dealer told me they had sold loads of these pulleys, hope thats of some help.
