WTF !!! driving home last night & the rear view mirror just dropped off (n)
Can't help wondering what was holding it on in the first place as there is no sticky residue on either the windscreen or the back of the mirror.
Any ideas before I have a rant at my dealers?

I'm sure I've seen some extra strong double sided sticky pads intended for interior mirrors for sale. Try Halfords?

Thanks for the replies guys. I've got some 2 pack epoxy and even (somewhere in the deepest, darkest recesses of my garage) the special mirror pads - but I'd love to know why there is no sign of any adhesive on the back of the mirror or the windscreen? Surely you would expect there to be some sort of residue?

BTW, the mirror pad is really old, had a mirror drop off before. Trick is to make sure the glass & mount are squeaky clean then gently warm both with a hair dryer.
